Board of Zoning Appeals
The Greenwood City/County Joint Board of Zoning Appeals is the body that reviews applications appealing a determination made by planning staff in the enforcement of the zoning ordinance. The Board of Zoning Appeals also considers applications for variances from the requirements of the zoning ordinance (only where strict application of the ordinance will result in unnecessary hardship) and special exceptions allowed by the requirements of the zoning ordinance.
Regular meetings of the Board of Zoning Appeals are scheduled for the first Monday of each month at 5:30 PM. Meetings are held in the Veteran’s Auditorium of the Greenwood County Library located at 600 S Main Street, Greenwood.
